how long are sessions

How long are the sessions?

  • PEMF Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes depending on your specific circumstances and if you are using other therapies in the same session

  • Red Light Therapy sessions typically last 5-20 minutes in duration

Do I need to wear clothes?

  • For PEMF therapy you will be fully clothed for the session unless we are addressing a localised area such as a specific injury, at which point it may be necessary to expose the area in question do that we may correctly place the device.

  • For Red Light Therapy you will be guided into Room 2 where you will be shown the bed and device and how to start it. It is advised that for full benefit you are either completely bare or undressed down to your underwear. The room is lockable from the inside to ensure your privacy until your session is over.

  • For Deep Tissue Acupuncture you will need to have the area in question exposed so taking off some clothes may be necessary.

  • For use of our Pulsetto Vagus Nerve Stimulator you will be fully clothed as the device is worn around the neck.

Can I go on with metal plates?

Yes, you can undergo PEMF therapy even if you have metal plates or implants.

Unlike some imaging techniques that may be affected by metal objects, PEMF therapy is not hindered by metal implants.

However, it's always advisable to inform your healthcare provider about any medical implants or devices before undergoing PEMF therapy as they will need to adapt the session to suit.

Will I be tired after it?

You will usually feel energised after your ProX session at Pro Active, however you may occasionally experience tiredness if you have had PEMF at a very high intensity or of you have fallen asleep on the PEMF or Red Light Therapy beds.

Can I drive after it?
